I am proud that the Lord has blessed me as the banjo player for New Road and I make my home in Luttrell, Tennessee. I have been playing music since the age of 10. The first instrument my dad and mom bought me was a snare drum. They later bought both a banjo and guitar for me to learn on. My dad taught me to play while I was growing up. I first played in a few bluegrass groups in the Knoxville and Union County area near Maynardville. After that, I played with a Bluegrass Gospel group called the Better Way out of Tazewell, TN and traveled all over the Southeastern US. I have been with the New Road since day one and I take care of the bookings for the group. I consider it an honor and a blessing to be able to sing and play Bluegrass Gospel music for the Lord and the people who come and listen to New Road. Stuart Wyrick VIEW |
