Gary Kidwell

I was born in 1977 to Gary and Christine Kidwell in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, and am proud to still call Eastern Kentucky my home. Music has always been a big part of the culture in Eastern Kentucky and my family followed that axiom, where I as a youngster sat around at family gatherings and listened to and watched music being played. Although I started learning to play around the age of ten, I do not count anything I did worthwhile until four years ago when I started playing and singing for the Lord.

I have been married to my wife Kimberly since 1998 and we have one son named Issac, who was born in 2000. I count both Kim and Issac as true blessings from the Lord. Kim and my parents have always been supportive of me and my music. Just after I was saved, I quickly took an interest in bluegrass gospel, especially the group New Road. The Lord soon opened up the opportunity for me to serve in a ministry with them, and I was extremely pleased. In closing, I thank everyone for taking the time to read my biography, but most of all I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his perfect sacrifice on the cross and for our salvation.
